5 of Our Favorite Teamfight Tactics Comps
They might not always win, but they’re fun! 🎮✨
When you’re looking for a new combination in your Teamfight Tactics builds, sometimes it’s just more fun to play checkers while your opponent is playing chess. Sure, you could run Nobles/Knights, Dragons, or Glacials and try to win, but why not show your opponents that you’ve got some serious mojo instead?
Here are five of our favorite builds that we’ve encountered, concocted, or witnessed on the Summoner’s Rift chessboard, emphasizing style over power. These builds may not net you loads of wins, but you’ll look good using them.
🔫 Bullet Hell: The attacks of the many outweigh the attacks of the few
Gunslingers and Pirates might not be the strongest units, but they can cause chaos if set up right. Aim for four Gunslingers to get the bonus of attacking all enemies in range. Pirates will help your economy, giving you up to four gold every time you fight another player, and Gunslingers will provide free multi-attacks to everyone in the synergy, with Graves being the key unit.
For Graves, stack his inventory with a Phantom Dancer (for attack speed and survivability) and a Titanic Hydra (for splash damage on every multi-attack). The final item slot is flexible, but typically items that boost attack speed or health work best. Don’t forget to place a tank in front; Shen is a great choice as he also contributes to the Blademaster synergy.
🤖 The Tractor Pull: Blitzcrank makes friends
Blitzcrank, the golden robot, can be incredibly annoying if you equip him with the right items. Start by giving him either a pair of Spear of Shojin or one and a Yuumi (to turn him into a Sorcerer) to ensure he uses his ability frequently. For the last slot, I recommend Guinsoo’s Rageblade to add damage and scaling.
For the rest of the team, include at least one other Brawler (Warwick is an easy pick) and surround Blitzcrank with plenty of health and beef. You want to pull enemies right into the thick of chaos repeatedly.
⚔️ Kassadin: The ultimate in mana-draining
Kassadin can be a nightmare for opponents with the right items. Start with Guinsoo’s Rageblade, add Runaan’s Hurricane, and finish with a Rapid Firecannon. He’ll attack three enemies at once from range, draining their mana to fuel his shields, keeping him and your team alive.
To support Kassadin, Kha’Zix can take out backline threats, and Cho’Gath provides area-CC, tanking, and completes the void buff. Adding Sorcerers like Lulu and Aurelion Sol or Ahri for bonus ability damage can also be beneficial.
🏃 The Pyke Express: Giving Sonic a run for his money
Pyke’s goal is to zip around the battlefield at top speed, stunning enemies and dealing damage while avoiding focus. Double Spear of Shojin is crucial, and you can choose between Guinsoo’s Rageblade and Hextech Gunblade for the final item.
Position Pyke up front to the extreme right or left to maximize his jump to the sides of the enemy team. For team composition, consider Shyvana or Gnar for another transformation threat, and Nidalee or Lulu to help keep Pyke alive.
🥷 Ninja Deliverator: Kennen in enemy backlines in 30 milliseconds or less
Kennen’s AOE stun and damaging ability make him a strong pick, but he needs to be in the right position. Equip him with Youmuu’s Ghostblade so he leaps into the perfect spot. One Spear of Shojin is usually essential, with the other slot being flexible: Rabadon’s Deathcap, Morellonomicon, Hextech Gunblade, or Guinsoo’s Rageblade all work well.
For synergy, Elementalists are excellent, adding Lissandra and Brand for damage and a golem to absorb hits. Fellow Assassins are also good, but avoid Akali to maintain the Ninja synergy buff. If you go with Elementalists, consider Glacial for additional stuns.
